See a play or production at the Petit Playhouse or visit the Carnegie Art Museum, the Gull Wings Children's Museum, and the Ventura County Maritime Museum.

Enjoy a whale watching tour from Oxnard's Channel Islands Harbor from late December to late April. Take a ferry or boat ride from Oxnard's Channel Islands Harbor to Channel Islands National Park to experience coastal southern California as it once was. The park encompasses five islands (Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, San Miguel, and Santa Barbara) and their ocean environment.

The Dallas Cowboys Training Camp is from late July to mid-August, so come meet the players and get autographs.

Also, the Festival of Sail is held in early August at Oxnard's Channel Islands Harbor, Harbor Landing Beach Festival is held in late August at Oxnard's Channel Islands Harbor, the Oxnard Independent Film Festival is held in late September, and the Multicultural Festival is held in early October.
